Shortlister hosted Brian Berchtold, the Vice President of Enterprise for Grokker, in our “Meet-a-Vendor” webinar series to introduce their services.
Grokker provides high-quality expert led videos, focusing on holistic wellness areas such as meditation, yoga, fitness and healthy cooking. Grokker’s priority is to make wellness simple. Whether you need a 5-minute neck stretch or an intense 90-minute calorie killer work-out, Grokker can provide it.
Grokker represents “the next chapter in employee wellness.” Their value proposition is the ability for an employee to engage in healthy activities in the privacy of their home or on the road by accessing high quality videos on “any device at any time”. Grokker has partnerships with numerous content providers and it is currently accessible on all desktop and mobile devices, iOS applications, Roku, Amazon, Apple TV, Comcast, and more. There are nearly 4,000 short and full length videos available and Grokker is releasing new video content monthly.
Brian highlighted a key feature for the user to be able to search and select their video by type, instructor, and session length. There are engagement features to push calendar events onto a personal dashboard, which includes reminders and progress tracking features. Users can also opt to communicate directly with experts in any of the areas of content.
For employers, there is an administrative dashboard to view engagement activity, such as number of active users and areas of interest, as well as manage challenges hosted by the employer. Grokker recently launched “wellness minutes”, a currency of wellness points that enhance Grokker’s ability to support employers who want to track and incent various levels of engagement.
Questions addressed at the end of the session:
1. Do you offer content for individuals that are not fitness/yoga minded?
Introducing Wellness Academy soon, which are comprised of 90 second short videos as basic information or introduction to wellness topics. There will also be a quiz at end to track learning. The goal is to develop trust with participants and engage them in taking further steps within the platform.
2. How do you think Grokker is unique in this crowded wellness space?
More personalized experience, high-quality expert led videos and directly addressing the time barrier to engage.
3. Can users sort based on the time duration of video sessions?
Grokker is ideal for busy employees. Whether one has 5, 10 or 60 minutes, Grokker’s sorting feature allows one to find a personalized video for the time available, at home, at work or on the go. Grokker also has a social community network feature where personal contacts can view activity and provide positive feedback within the platform.
